Music Beyond Borders

Music Beyond Borders (MBB) is an organization dedicated to cultural-heritage preservation, building archives, publications, film documentaries, and innovative multi-media digital projects rooted in music history centering around themes of oppression, crimes against humanity, violence, human rights, slavery, migration, and cultural encounters, from the early modern period to contemporary times. MBB explores the power of music as resistance, for survival, against trauma, to create community, identity, and memorialisation, and music as archive.
